In Progress…

I often get asked about the process of making the Marine Corps Sculptures.  How long did it take? What are they made of? How many parts are there in each one?….etc…

So I decided to show you a photo of a CH53 in progress… it has been:

         Designed on the computer.

         Cutout with the CNC Laser.

         Cleaned with the grinder.

          Stacked and marked.

          Threaded rods cut.

          Rods welded in place.

          Laid out to be painted

….and now you see it as it is being painted.

And the piece is still not done yet.

If I could just get the studio elves to do this for me it would be so much easier.
